Task

Superbloom Festival in Munich brings together people of all ages, backgrounds, and tastes. For this year’s edition, four animations were needed to introduce each artist performing on the main stage. They would be shown just moments before the artists entered, building excitement and drawing the audience in. My role was to bring the existing visual world by Die Gestalter AG into motion, using their elements and colors to create a cohesive visual experience.

Solution

I started by printing all the graphic elements I was given and laying them out in front of me to get a physical sense of how they might move. From there, I created four animations that each tell a short visual story. Two focused on flower motifs, two on geometric forms. All four maintain a consistent level of motion and storytelling, with the artist's name appearing within the first five seconds. The result is a series of playful and vibrant stage openers that visually match the energy of the festival.
