Task

The client needed a ten-to-fifteen-second-long animation, to announce their artists on the screens left and right of the main stage, shortly before they would start their performance.Die Gestalter AG had already crafted the Corporate Design, so I had the task to use the colors, elements and logo animation to think of fitting ways to captivate and entertain the waiting audience for a few minutes before they'd see the anticipated artist.  

Process and challenges

Inspired by the movement of the logo-animation, I used the other elements sizes and positions to create a 3D-space impersonating a unique universe. The viewer moves through the space, passing the stars and then the artist's name appears in the midst of it. The names of the artists had to be comfortably readable and stand out from the rest of the animation, which is why the elements disappear to give them space.

I built the layers inside of the project file so that the names would be easily replaceable for all eighteen acts that played on the main-stage, to be efficiently replaceable for all names as desired by the client.
